Hello all,

We have a great turn out for last month's meetup at Freshwise Farms and got an amazing tour from our new friend Tom! I recommend all of you who could not make it to take the trip there to see what they are doing, plus the vegetables are delicious!

For this month's meetup I had a few cancellations and but have the next few months planned out so we should be good for posting the meetups on time. For this month's event I have chosen Green Drinks again for good reason. Over the past few months there has been lower than normal attendance (because of the holiday season), for the Green Drink events; I would like to remedy that this month and get you all out! While the numbers have hovered around 8-15 people each event they have been fantastic in terms of networking! Many prominent companies in the area are sending their green/conservation/energy representatives to network and I personally have gained a lot from this. Contacts are key these days and with the job market and the planet in troubled times now is the chance to act. That first step is literally stepping out of the house and into face-to-face contacts with others ho share your interest of sustainability. On top of all that you can have a beer to help the conversation flow a bit better if you are the nervous type. The Green Drinks meetup will be held on Thursday, Febuary 25th from 6pm-7:30pm at the Tap & Mallet Bar on 381 Gregory St, Rochester. See you there!

Cheers,

Peter

About Us

Our goal is to help lower the environmental impact of the homes and lives of those living in the greater Rochester area. To reach that goal we provide workshops in sustainability, promote local green events, provide a free local resource in sustainable information, and create connections to other green organizations throughout New York. We hope we will be the first stop on your journey to a deeper understanding of sustainability.
